Horse and rider optimisation of synergistic function:

Some time ago we began to realise that horses were continually treated for the same problems which came back again and again. Many horses are injected with unnecessary drugs to alleviate such issues which in the long term cause damage. With our professional skills we have been able to incorporate taking the riders physical issues into consideration. This implementation resulted in horse complaints reducing drastically as we worked with the rider at the same time. We continue to sponsor some horse and riders so we may expand on this concept, and with the research to support it, make it a framework for horse treatments and assessments in the future.

The effect of castration in male horses on fascial function:

We discovered a link with numerous issues in male horses having undergone castration. These issues varied from spinal pain to extremity dysfunction. In the world of fascia any surgical intervention results in a cut through this tissue which in turn will change the function overall (the same applies to humans). The problem here is that different horses suffer in different ways so our goal is to endeavour to structure what to look for and how to treat these issues so many more horses can be helped effectively and efficiently.

Common spinal problems in dogs of certain breeds, how to best rehabilitate to improve life quality:

Many dogs suffer with spinal pain and often age is not a predicting factor. As with humans, treatment and rehabilitation is not tailored to specific needs but very generalised and this is not always helpful. It is our aim to list cases and try various intervention method in order to find which works best with any given breed and problem. This will hugely improve outcome measures and make life easier for both dog and owner.

The rehabilitation of sport horses who can no longer perform:

This is a huge project. We know that many horses who have performed for many years become tired and suffer pain. Unfortunately this often means they have to be put to sleep. There is research supporting if they rest for 2 years they can be completely rehabilitated. We would like to build a sanctuary not only to help horses but also dogs. This would provide a place where they can rest, undergo rehabilitation and recover.

Fascial dysfunction in humans leading to chronic pain

Pain in humans has been somewhat of an enigma for many years. Multiple diagnosis for various types of pain in different areas are given names however, research has shown that fascia has much more of a role in pain and dysfunction. People often suffer pain in more than one area and traditional methods of approach involve treating said area however, this is a problem as bodies do not function in isolation. Each part of the part works in synergy with the other and more evidence for this is surfacing. We are researching the holistic examination, treatment and tailored rehabilitation with a full body method using a unique approach which is so far having amazing long term results.
